Villa Elsa is an exclusive property located in Fornillo, the famous district of Positano perched on the rock that drops sheer to the sea. The homonymous beach can be reached on foot, via stairs, in about 10 minutes. The villa is a unique example of 15th century "Positano" architecture with arabesque elements and colored majolica, it is that unique mélange that distinguishes the Positano style. The villa can be reached from viale Pasitea, only on foot, along a typical Positano street with about 150 steps. The porterage service will be at your disposal to carry even the heaviest luggage. Like any self-respecting Positano house, externally it has a clean, white style, with large arches and a balcony, ready to give the view a unique panorama. Entering through the small wooden door, you enter the "hidden gem" an internal courtyard covered by large barrel vaults with antique terracotta floors. The typical bougainvillea plant and cacti that surround the entrance to the house blend well with the ancient well, Carrara marble benches, lava stone tables in the Vietri style and architectural elements of Renaissance reference. The ground floor consists of three large communicating rooms with balconies overlooking the external courtyard. The first door gives access to the built-in kitchen with wood-burning oven. Wooden architraves and ancient sideboards, decorated with Vietri ceramics, make the environment unique, but easily usable at the same time. A central table, surrounded by wooden benches and marble seats, allows you to prepare a rich breakfast. The kitchen, partially hidden behind the architrave, is made up of a 6-burner induction hob, electric oven, kettle, toaster, marble sink and everything needed for preparing meals. The kitchen leads to the room embellished with a collection of ceramics from every corner of Italy, from Caltagirone to Deruta, not to forget Vietri sul mare. A service bathroom is connected to the dining room. Continuing we find a large reception hall, with a 50' flat screen TV, desk, bookcase, various armchairs and sofas, with fireplace and bar area. It should be noted that the lounge area has an enhanced wifi connection, to allow you to work in peace, even enjoying the outdoor area. A large honor staircase in ivory marble leads to the upper floor, which houses two bedrooms with private bathrooms. The first double bedroom is located to the right of the staircase, it is furnished with French-style furniture, a complete bathroom in shades of green embellished with brass details consisting of a large walk-in shower, bidet, toilet and sink. The second bedroom is accessible from a side staircase to the main one. The bathroom is a huge open space. Furnished in shades of pink, it consists of a jacuzzi tub, toilet, bidet and sink. From the bathroom you go to the bedroom, with two single beds that can eventually be converted into a double bed. Both bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and open onto a large terrace overlooking the sea. OTHER DETAILS: Parking available for a fee, €50 per day, by reservation. Regina Dar is a spectacular luxury residence located in the centre of Positano, with architectural elements that mix Arabic and majolica styles, typical of Positano. Following a skilful renovation that further enhanced its characteristic features, it is the ideal place to spend one's holidays in the name of relaxation, sea, and luxury. The historic building in which it is located is one of the late 18th-century palaces directly overlooking the sea, offering a breathtaking view of the Galli Islands and the entire Amalfi Coast. The recent renovation has brought together elements of Arab-Mediterranean culture, which for a long time influenced the architecture and construction techniques of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi, such as a majolica tank reminiscent of a hammam, and an ivory stone floor cut in the shape of an Arab star. Adding to this, early 19th-century Vietri majolica tiles in the kitchen and dining room faithfully reproduce the idea of the domestic hearth, where cooking was done in past eras. The ancient majolica tiles also return in the headboards of beds or open wardrobes, bringing rhythm and colour to wide, bright white rooms. The yellow of the sun and tiles, the blue of the sea visible from every room, and the whiteness create a sensory mix capable of giving you vibrant emotions. But let's delve into the details of this marvellous apartment, which is accessed from the main street, Viale Pasitea, with just five steps leading inside. A glass corridor leads to the living room, of generous dimensions, composed of white linen sofas, a table with wrought iron chairs, ceramic urns, and Positano-style decorations. Between the living room and dining room, there is also a first complete bathroom, spacious with a hydromassage tub with cervical jet, specially made and enhanced with ancient majolica tiles, shower, toilet, bidet, and stone sink. From the living room, you access the external terrace, partially covered to allow enjoying lunch or dinner even in the hottest months of the year, with sun loungers, an outdoor shower, and armchairs for outdoor relaxation. From the living room, we move to the dining room, with Vietri majolica built-in sideboards, a central wooden table with eight chairs, fridge with freezer, and a wine cellar with a personal selection available to guests. The kitchen, built under two symmetrical domes, consists of a Carrara marble sink, a hob with four burners (two induction and two gas), dishwasher, microwave, electric oven, toaster, and D&G kettle from the limited edition inspired by Sicily. From the room, you access the first bedroom, with a sea view balcony, a king-size bed with memory foam topper, blue majolica fireplace, and chest of drawers. The second bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower, an open wardrobe with blue and yellow majolica tiles, and a velvet armchair. This room also serves as a passage to the third and final bedroom, with a queen-size bed, stucco and majolica headboard, and a large private en-suite bathroom. Please note that the rooms can be completely independent by using the large French windows, accessing through the balcony or internally. TO BE NOTED: Daily cleaning service is guaranteed by a housekeeper who will take care of tidying up and guests' needs for a few hours in the morning. Private parking included in the villa for one vehicle (also medium-large sized, no vans or minibuses). Guests are required to pay a €1000 deposit via pre-authorization with a credit card at check-in, which will be released on the day of check-out.
